CODES FOR STATION REDEVELOPMENT INCLUDING COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT, PHASE-II

As part of the assignment codes for Railway Heritage Assets are prepared. Phase II tasks are as follows:

  • Categorization of Indian Railway Heritage Assets.

  • Study of Railway Heritage Assets types, response to Heritage Assets while redeveloping railway stations.

  • Comparative analysis of international and national normative frameworks.

  • Preparation of Codes for Railway Heritage Assets. Preparation of Guidebook for conservation of Railway Heritage Assets.

FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR NOMINATION OF AURANGABAD CITY FOR INSCRIPTION IN THE UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE LIST

Completed : June 2020

The aim of the project was to assess whether heritage of Aurangabad municipal limits has potential to be enlisted on UNESCO`s World Heritage List.

 The project report was intended to guide the State Department of Archaeology and Museums to ascertain if nomination is pragmatic choice, to assess the condition of its listed heritage and identify potential heritage for listing.

CONSERVATION OF MEHTAB BAGH OF RED FORT, NEW DELHI

Completed : January 2019

This assignment was to develop a comprehensive conservation and site management plan for the excavated remains of Mehtab Bagh. Following task were undertaken :

  • Identify drainage and consolidation solutions, site interpretation options and compliances with World Heritage commitments.

  • Site Survey, condition appraisal (mapping and assessment) of excavated remains to develop repair and consolidation strategy. One of the major tasks at hand was to identify how to remove water from channel.

CONSERVATION OF LAHORI GATE AND CHHATTAH CHOWK BAZAAR OF RED FORT, NEW DELHI

August 2018

The projects of Chhattah chowk Bazaar and Ramparts of Lahori gate both dealt with diverting water away from structure. The area enclosed by the aforementioned structures were susceptible to water logging and its water disposal system was severely affected by cosmetic measures taken preceding events of national interest.
The works entailed surveying and the area and identifying viable (workable) drainage systems, re-establishing working levels and verifying the same with the rest of the Fort and documenting and overseeing works during implementation.

CONSERVATION OF PALACE AREA OF TUGHLAQABAD FORT, NEW DELHI

Completed : December 2018

The project focused on documentation, condition assessment and identification of items of work for the Palace of the Tughalaqs in the Tughalabad (Protected area).
The documentation was undertaken by comparing satellite images and field work to identify and map the layout of the palatial area and then individual structures, open spaces, parts of water systems and other features.
This was followed by architectural documentation and surface condition mapping to establish block costs of items of work.

INTERPRETATION CENTER FOR GROUP OF TEMPLES IN ANJANERI, NASHIK

2016-2017

Client: ASI, Ministry of Culture, GOI 
An Interpretation Center has been proposed for group of Temples at Anjaneri. The state of art Interpretation Center has been designed as an educative experience centre with areas for exhibits, areas of research and some shopping areas for local craftsmen.

INSCRIPTION OF NALANDA MAHAVIHARA ON UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE LIST

Inscribed in 2016

Client: ASI, Ministry of Culture, GOI
The Principal Conservation Architect has prepared the Nomination Dossier for Inscription of Nalanda as UNESCO World Heritage. The works entailed preparation of the dossier for inscription, handholding stakeholders for preparedness and overseeing the visits of ICOMOS team.

COMPLETION OF NOMINATION DOSSIER FOR INSCRIPTION OF RANI KI VAV, PATAN, GUJARAT

Inscribed in 2015

Client: ASI, Ministry of Culture, GOI
The Principal Conservation Architect was involved in the completion of the document, insertion of inputs from completeness check and drafting the comparative analysis. Post completion the work also included providing additional information and participating in ICOMOS Mission

EVOLUTION OF TEMPLE ARCHITECTURE OF BADAMI, AIHOLE AND PATTADAKAL

2014-15

Client: ASI, Ministry of Culture, GOI
The Principal Conservation Architect drafted the nomination dossier- "Evolution of Temple Architecture- Aihole, Badami and Pattadakal". It has been conceptualised as a Serial Extension to the existing inscribed property, i.e. 'Group of Monuments, Pattadakal'.

RESTORATION OF MAHARAJA JAGATJIT SINGH'S PALACE, KAPURTHALA

Completed: 2012

Client: INTACH, New Delhi
Our Principal Conservation Architect was involved in on-site planning and supervision of works, condition assessment and appraisals for identifying schedule of works in Phase 2, preparation of job details and revision of budget.

DOCUMENTATION AND PREPARATION OF CONSERVATION PLAN FOR AHOM MONUMENTS

Our Principal Conservation Architect has conducted architectural documentation, structural analysis and prepared a plan for conservation and visitor management for group of monuments (Karenghar in Garhgaon, Maidams in Charaideo, Ranghar in Sibsagar) of the erstwhile Ahom Dynasty

Our Principal Conservation Architect prepared the Comprehensive Conservation Plan, framed the prefinal RSOUV for Hampi World Heritage Site, assited in periodic reporting, developed training and consultancy instructions for implementation and developed the Manual for JHMP
